Approval of Minutes

Motion to approve June Board of Directors meeting minutes without change passed.

New Business/Open Discussion

Nominating Committee

Pam Barrett will head HFCA 2019 Nominating Committee. Thank you, Pam!

American Disposal

Discussion about American Disposal centered on either negotiating reduced prices or getting a new contractor.

North Path

The North Path Project is complete. The asphalt path and drainage culvert system are repaired. Engraved posts marking the most Northern HFCA boundary is complete at a cost of $89. Clearing the sapling trees remains. Cox Cable is scheduled to inspect a cable going access the face of a culvert on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

Best of Braddock Awards

The Best of Braddock Awards is/was on Wednesday, July 7, 2019 and everyone was encouraged to come. Melissa and Jarret Stark will receive the Best of Braddock Award.

Standing Agenda Items

Treasurer

The treasurer is out of town. The arrangements for the annual meeting are made and the bills to date are paid.

Common Grounds

Melissa reported that she will be planting Pennsylvania sedge on half of the sledding hill in the Lower Commons this fall as a test run, on how it holds up with all the sledding. This should help eradicate the Japanese stilt grass that is currently taking over. The 2019 common areas budget is on track.

Social Committee

There is an August 3 cornhole tournament planned.

Architectural Control Committee

The Architectural Control Committee made two approvals. The community inspection walk through is proceeding.

Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch has need replacements because two people who left.

At Large - Kirk Randall

The Stonewood filled in the pits that extend on to HFCA common property. The idea was floated to send a post card to welcome new homeowners. The VPOAA allows an owner to request a list of other owners in the community.

Please review draft of planning document.

Vice President

Deed and Declaration change effort. There was a long discussion about continuing the Deed and Declaration effort. A motion to end the effort was made and votes were cast: one (1) vote abstained, three (3) votes to end the effort and four (4) votes to not end the effort. A decision was made to continue the effort through July to receive late Deed and Declaration change papers.

President

Everyone is encouraged to attend the Braddock District Council, which is on the second Tuesday of every month.

The planned printing of the Newsletter is the week of July 19, 2019

Adjournment

The next HFCA Board of Directors meeting for August 13, 2019 was approved.

The meeting was adjourned by vote at 10:10 PM
