Approval of Minutes

Melissa moved to accept the May minutes.   Telah seconded.  Minutes were approved

Old Business

Introduction of Prospective Treasurer and Member at Large 

Judy and Charles introduced themselves, as did the members of the Board.  

Report on Interaction with George Mason Forest HOA Board 

Telah discussed being in communication with the George Mason Forest HOA Board.  She described a respectful and positive dialogue with them about the importance of maintaining a friendly relationship.  

Treasurer’s Report  

Ken made a motion to approve Judy as new Treasurer and Charles as new Member at Large.  Telah seconded and the motions were passed.  

Ken described the HOA Board investment in a Certificate of Deposit, and the importance of using HOA funds for maintenance and improvements to the development 

Ben agreed to continue his weekly collection of Post Office Box mail and intent to deliver these to Judy. 

Commons Area Report 

Melissa described her plans to evaluate prospective companies for landscaping management

New Business

Telah indicated her intention to attend the Braddock District Council Meeting.   

Telah also reported on ongoing activities of former HOA Board President Jim Bever. These included placing new traffic signs in the development, and working with block captains, and related efforts including informal recruitment of people interested in working on a social committee.
